I had my timing belt replaced and I think they damaged my engine. My check engine light keeps coming on. Now they say the need to fix my valves in the engine.one is bent.

The timing belt did not break. After replacing the timing belt they had to replace the tensioner a 4 days later.Wk later replaced the 2nd core and spark plugs due to ck engine lite. the lit e is back on.Now remove heads bent valve.

one thing you didn't say anything about ,did the timing belt break before you took it in to them,because if it did that alone could have bent the valve in the engine,they may not be responsible for the damage that's done to it,you needed to post more info, on the whole situation,good luck on it.

If the belt was a scheduled replacement, you might have a case.
If it broke in service, a bent valve or two is a probable consequence of that failure.- All you can claim in that case is that they should have checked for it and completed the job while the engine was torn down for the belt replacement. - (Would have saved some 'labor hours`).

Need much more info, i.e; was your vehicle in service for maintenance or repair?
