whenever someone posts out a joke about a black person, everyone else calls him a racist and says that he/she is discriminating a particular group of people..
but when someone posts out a "dumb blonde joke", everyone laughs, applauds, and give 2 thumbs up...isnt this just the same as the discrimination in black people?i just dont get why blondes being degraded to a cultural cliche? coz ive met some, okay, scratch that, A LOT of smart blondes before.. im just wondering..thanks..

I am not originally from America, but I've been here for a while and now live here. i wish i knew why some people call that racist. i can only speculate. maybe it's bcuz african americans are a minority group here in USA, and caucasians are majority. i think people think that, that bcuz of that fact, whenever a "joke" is made, it is not fair, in a sense.
i do agree that people should be fair, and if they believe that, that is being racist against african americans, then they should do the same for other ethnic groups.
Another thing, bcuz of what african americans had to experience during slavery, was not a "walk in the park." African americans had to endure for 400 years, oppression, hatred, humiliation, inhumanity and the list goes on. i'm sure bcuz of this, is why people are quick to say that jokes that poke fun toward african americans are racist.
again, i'm NOT saying that "dumb blonde" jokes are right, but i'm trying to give you a speculation of why people are so hurried to say that jokes about 'black' people are racist.
if you want more info about slavery you should read the book "autobiography of frederick douglas." it gives a very vivid point of view about slavery.
i hope i shed some light on your question.

Before You Accuse Anyone Of Anything Get Your Facts Straight, This Has Nothing To Do With America.. This Very Thing Your Wondering About Has Been Going On Before You Or I Was A Twinkle In Our Mom's Eye.. Its Ignorance To Me On Both Sides, Nothing But A Stereo Type And If We As People Play Into It Then It Will Never Stop, It Doesn't Only Happen In America Its All Over The World..

Some jokes are funny no matter what the steryotype and others are typed or said in the spirit of being mean and being put downs. Most pf the racial jokes on here are meant to be rude and mean spirited, however the dumb blonde jokes are more about making fun of the steryotype itself rather than the group of blondes. I've met blondes who fit the steryotype and some who don't. I've met black people who fit the steryotype and many who do not. But the racial jokes are more about putting down the race itslef, rather than putting down the steryotype.

It all goes back to when slavery had started. African American people technically have always been discriminated against and caucasin people have sort of had it easy. Not easy, but not as hard as African Americans. So that is why when caucasin people make black jokes, African Americans feel discriminated. And dumb blonde jokes are just jokes that lower blondes self esteem so that they actually become dumb blondes and fall under the social group they were put in.

Most "blonde" jokes used to be racist jokes ("blonde" is substituted for "n*gger" or "Pollock" or some disparaging nickname for a person of Latin American descent).
In the U.S., we do not have a long and embarrassing history of oppressing blonde women through operation of law and more insidious means (like racist hiring practices and the like). There are not organized hate groups who advocate lynching blonde women and sending them back to where they came from (Scandinavia?). Blondes aren't excluded from country clubs because of the color of their hair, and they are not considered an underrepresented minority in the university system. Most importantly, being blonde is not an immutable characteristic -- if she doesn't like how she's being treated, she can change it at will.
For all of these reasons, people tend not to get quite as offended when blondes are the butt of a joke.

It hardly seems proper! But, life is full of unfair and unjust attributes.
I think being racially charged is much more critical than making light of hair color... cuz for starters, most blondes aren't even blonde, it's from a bottle but, I think blonds have more fun and can accept the stereotypical cliche...
Blacks however, shouldn't be disgraced in any defamatory way like those (like Skinhead Charlie and others) ways where their culture or heritage is defamed. Those who live here know the tension seemingly runs on high most times, just from the way things were when blacks were inslaved and ways they were treated in the 60s.

Being a blond myself, I cringe at blond jokes and yes, it's discrimination, but I guess it's taken in a light heart because blonds were never blatantly abused and held as slaves the way blacks were, so there isn't a trigger point to the joking.

I'm a blonde (yes, a natural blonde), and I don't let the jokes bother me; I email the dumb blonde jokes to one of my daughters, and counter with the dumb brunette jokes for my other daughters. Then they get me with the old people jokes. And some of the dumbest and funniest black jokes I've ever heard have come from my black friends. Race is what you make it.

As a blonde, I can answer this question without being "bigoted".
The reason for the difference is hair color is something we can change if we want to, skin color is not.
I think I have heard every blonde joke written.
I use people's bias toward blondes to my advantage.
They automatically think I am dingy when in fact, I am quite intelligent. As a result I can run circles around them and make them look bad because they do not expect much from me.
The jokes on them!

I agree although I sometimes tell blonde jokes. My reasoning for this is that I am blonde myself. I agree with you that there are many smart blondes. I am one of them. A lot of the time, blondes are discriminated against, but if you think about it, having blonde hair gives us power. (in a way)In the sense that we can prove many wrong with the cliche that all blondes are dumb when clearly, we are not.
Have a great day/night!!!
