There are 3 beers behind door number 1 and there is 1 beer behind door number 2. I think you can see where this is going, do I really need to explain it any further?

Well they can really get complicated at three, and I really know what I like and prefer masturbation to a 3 way any day. So 1 is actually greater than 3 but 2 is greater than 1.

you are quite philosophical this evening.

Well, how about 3 = 1+1+1, using the successor
rule twice.
(I.E. 2 is the sucessor of 1 and 2 = 1+1.
3 is the sucessor of 2, so 3 = 2+1 = 1+1+1.)
That means 3 > 1+1, since a positive number plus its
successor is bigger than just the number itself.
By the same principle
1+1 >1,
so we finally conclude 3>1 by the
transitivity property of ">".
Hope this makes sense!
