I think it depends. The trash of teens is just as bad, if not worse, but there is also a lot more pressure on us nowadays, in my opinion.
Examples: Not meaning to brag, but I'd consider myself very responsible for a teen. I study for all my tests, make all A's, stay out of trouble, all that stuff. But then you see those kids who fail and don't care, or who whine about how Mommy and Daddy won't give them their $50 a week allowance because they failed math. THAT makes me mad, and they aren't responsible.
So, it depends on which teenager you look at, to the point.

No because back in the 80's it was completely acceptable to kick a teenagers but if he needed it. Now they can not be touched when these little teenage punks these days need a nice butt whooping.

No, not at all. I realize they are usually alone when school gets out now compared to me. My Mom was home when I got out of school and I was home when my kids got home. It just seems that teenagers today have there own money and are not interested in working to earn any. All the beaches on the East coast bring teenagers from different countries to work at stores at the beaches because there isn't any interest in working for todays teenagers.

I think there are a lot of teens that are responsible thee days, but I also think there are a lot more responsibilities on them then we had in our day.

Overall, they seem just the same. They do seem to be more rude though because that is what they have grown up seeing everywhere the go.

NO WAY! They are dumber and more whiney! They mope around more and expect life to be handed to them on a plate. Teenagers are the reason I do not want kids. Urrrghh the mere thought...!
