The Harry Potter series. They taught me not be afraid of literature and learning. Once I started reading Harry Potter and in the time between books were released I read anything I could get my hands on. Before Harry Potter I was failing a few classes. Four years later and I'm entering my senior year with a 4.0 grade-point average and hopefully going straight to a 4-year university after I graduate. It taught me things within the book also, like that it is your choices that make you who you are, not your abilities.
