Although my wife's father performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.
I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional story about a fake mission to Mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.
12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.
The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called us out if they had evidence that it was all fake?
Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on at 3 different locations.
Case closed.

Of course we landed on the Moon. Subjective opinion is irrelevant; this an irrefutable scientific fact. The conspiracy theory is based completely upon bad science, faulty common sense, and, in many cases, anti-government bias.
We don't have to take the government's word for it. Consider the following:
1) Apollo 11 left a retroreflector that astronomers have detected thousands of times. It's used to precisely measure the distance to the Moon.
2) Independent radio telescopes, when pointed at the Moon, were able to detect the Apollo transmissions. If there hadn't been a ship on the Moon, they wouldn't have heard anything.
3) The Moon rocks have been examined in detail by geologists, who have positively identified the rocks as being of lunar origin. They explain that there's no way for NASA to falsify this.
4) No scientist rejects the landings. If there was something fishy about the Moon landings, would it not be scientists who would realize it? Instead, scientists are the first to vigorously defend the landings.
Evidence just can't get any more incontrovertible than this. To reject this evidence is to reject all modern science.
On top of all of that, there isn't a shred of legitimate evidence against the landings. Ironically, the very evidence that the conspiracy theorists cite only proves that the landings were real.
What difference does it make that the Soviets launched the first satellite into orbit? Being able to orbit a small object is far different from having the capacity to land on the Moon.
The stories of astronauts being murdered by the government are completely untrue. Conspiracy theorists conjured up these tales in a desperate attempt to bolster their wild claims.
--- edit in response to further details---
The Da Vinci Code was a very entertaining work of fiction. Keep in mind, though, that it is not supposed to be an expose. Dan Brown - as any good fiction/thriller writer would do - extrapolated from current knowledge to create this book. Brown will tell you that there is no great conspiracy in the Church. Just because he wrote of an imaginary conspiracy doesn't mean that there is a conspiracy. By the same token, the foolish claims of a Moon landing conspiracy shouldn't automatically be validated by innuendo.

The reason that the Soviet Union did not get to the moon was that they were trying to do it the direct to surface method, which required a much larger booster than the Saturn 5: it did not work. It exploded shortly after lift off on one occasion and exploded on the pad taking out the entire launch complex on another.
The Soviets then switched emphasis to LEO space stations.
To dr Anders Phd
if you look at this video you will see that the N-1 booster is nothing like a "carbon copy of the Saturn 5" it is actually more like the 50's idea of a huge cluster of engines, technology that the Russian were pretty good at by then(but not good enough!)
If the American moon landings were faked, the Russians would have figured it out and blown the whistle, so just be happy that America did it first.
The last tale, of astronauts dying suddenly after finding out some cosmic secret sounds like hogwash to me.

No. The Apollo missions were not faked. Most people who think otherwise are just trying to sound different from the majority who know better. The reason why the Russians never made it to the moon is most likely because following the collapse of the Soviet Union, they had far more important things to deal with than space travel.
If astronauts died shortly after the apollo missions, it was most likely just a coincedence.
Oh, and the flag waving in the "breeze" was just the movement caused by the astronaut struggling to get it in the ground. Afterwards the flag remains completely motionless over the course of two non consecutive photographs proving there was no wind.

The Russians did go to the moon and brought back soil samples. They just didn´t send humans. Incidentally their soil samples matched those brought back by Apollo. But of course the soviets and the US were conspiring together just to make the US look like #1...
The soviets lost the race to the moon fair and square. They new the landings were real, through careful monitoring of all the US transmissions and through spies, so they never yelled foul. They had lost a lot of lives trying to make their moon rocket work but failed. And so they decided to go for the next prize in the race: building the first space station. Which they did.
And the story of those astronauts dying without leaving corpse are the plot for the movie Capricorn 1. Didn´t really happen. But humans do die suddenly all the time. Including astronauts.

Yes the US landed on the moon. There is video transmissions of it when it happened. Also, there have been cosmonauts in space since, there is one on the International Space Station right now actually if his time hasnt come up yet that is. Area 51 who really knows except top secret government agents that have clearence to look into it. In wehch case, they couldnt say to the general public anyhow. There are just too many conspiracy theorists out there trying to get people to disbelieve the landing on the moon was fake and it wasnt, it was real.

It was once truly. All of the intended "proof" has been countered, many in many instances. Faking it might now not had been feasible with the talents and technological know-how of the days, nor might this sort of false have stood as much as state-of-the-art forensic evaluation. Plus, the extra men and women are worried in a hoax, the much more likely it's that the knowledge will leak or one in all them will admit it outright. The quantity of men and women had to false a moon touchdown, adding more than one launches that hundreds of thousands of men and women witnessed (except each person who went down to look at them was once a employed patsy-adding the inside track media men and women) might have confident that a leak might have occurred someplace alongside the road.

I to be honest i don't think USA did. I live in US and love this country, but a few years back with all those problems. The pieces following apart which resulted into the deaths of those young men and women, I can't convince myself that they had the tecnology back then that we have today to make it to the the moon. Even with the tech. today, it'll still be pretty impressive if they were to try it "again"
To all those flag waving people up there. Are you kidding me? The flag that was put on the moon. if they really did went up there, was made out of wood. There is no air on the moon meaning there is no wind. Knowing this the flag was made and curved out of wood to make the flag look and appear like it was waving.

actually the astronauts found a perfect rectangular box which was pure black; even when light was shone on it, it was absorbed. the object was in a curious 1 to 4 to 9 ratio in its dimensions; the squares of the first three integers. then just as the sun rose and shone upon the object it let out a load scream in radio signals that was heard all the way to the end of the solar system!
