A BIG FAT (LIKE HIS HEAD) NO!!!
Bonds didn't prove anything in baseball other than how to cheat the system by white-creaming his way to a huge collection of tainted home runs.
He is a fake, a fraud, and major league baseball fans should file a class action lawsuit against him and other steroid freaks for being imposters instead of legitimate major league and thus defrauding the unsuspecting ticket-buying public of a legitimate athletic competition.
And until baseball starts blood testing for HGH (they only do urine samples presently), all players are suspects and not to be trusted - including guys like A-Rod.

while bonds hasnt been convicted yet there seems to be a concern that the man named greg anderson, a steroid peddler is in jail now for refusing to testify to a grand jury investigating bonds...anyway before the age of 35 bonds had never hit a ball over 450 ft since then he has 51 at an age when players decline he became superhuman..he was already a great player before but the greatest of all time wouldnt of even been a consideration in 1999..now it is debateable..if steroids add 10 hrs per year, thats a hundred homeruns over the last ten so it could make a difference.. still the best hitter ive seen in this generation though and i hope that baseball can find a way to preserve their landmark stats with integrity.. can you believe that hank aaron had almost 3800 hits?

He deserves nothing. Not the HR record, not a Hall of Fame induction. The only thing he deserves is jail time for lying about his steroid use.
"This record is not tainted at all. At all. Period. You guys can say whatever you want." Bull. He knows he got help from steroids. That's why you never hear him say that he never used steroids. He always said, he never knowingly used steroids.
Thanking the Nationals for respecting the game. Maybe he should do the same thing and respect the game by admitting that he had help from steroids.
But on the bright side, he's only going to hold it for maybe a decade because A-Rod and Pujols both have a very good chance of surpassing his record.

He deserves in the case that he did work for it. In the case of being a cheat and using performance enhancing drugs, he doesnt. Just depends on what side ou are if you think he does. One thing he does deserve is a congratulations, so congrats barry.

Because "The-Babe" Ruth was the First to accomplsh this Feat before all of this Modern Training, Nutrition, etc. and other things we now know about!
And he was probably Guilty of Gluttony, Alcoholism, etc.
But he remains Forever the FIRST!
