If you no longer see activity then it is safe. That stuff kills quickly, but if it will make you feel better then wait a day to make sure.

I would remove it fairly quickly. Usually wasp killer is a non-residual pesticide. What that means is that once it drys, it is no longer a killing agent. So, that being said, I would knock it down fast!
