pete rose should be in there it's baseball not church. He was a great ball payer period. quite making it more than it is. it's baseball not public office for crying out loud.

who knows

500K to some 7figure amount

Who cares if he took roids, chances are so did half of the rest of the people his age that are in the game. again, it's freaking baseball who gives a shite if they took roids...

1. He will be elected in all likelihood, his previous career stats probably dicate that he does regardless of the HR's. Pete Rose explicitly broke one of baseballs oldest rules. I dont think its fair to Rose neccessarily, but thats the way it is. Bonds might not be a first ballot though. Depends on what the writers feel at the time.

2) A-rod (barring injury) will most likely break the record. It's a guess, but I think he'd go over 800 home runs.

3)756 wont be worth as much as the LAST home run Barry hits. Will probably be worth a million. Depends on whose willing to pay (like Todd MacFarlane)

1. No he should not. It would be a disgrace to the game if he was elected in. If Barry gets in, what kind of message does that send to kids? Its ok to use steriods as long as you don't get officially caught. Professional athletes, whether they like it or not, are role models.
2. I hope A-Rod 820
3. I think that it would be cool if the guy that caught the ball rented an arena and charged everyone $20/person for a ball burning. Send a message from the fans to athletes.
4. I don't really care for him because he is sending the wrong message to kids and he is disgracing the game.

there are signs since long ago stating in clubhouses Don't GAMBLE!!!!, for pete that was a horrible downfall and realize he was addicted to gambling! i believe he never bet on his team but he did have a edge! as for Barry, easy choice! first time shoe in for the HOF. forget the whiners and people who jump on the "lets hate BB" bandwagon , none of them have ever achieved Greatness! that simple!... i call for AROD to break it within the next 12 years barring injury...the auction houses have already priced the ball at a half a million dollars, and yes i like barry bonds the baseball player, i could care less what or how he reacts to sportswriters

Barry's induction is already in question. I don't think it will happen. I also don't think it should happen. But then again, I don't think ANYBODY should have pitched to him either.

I think A-Rod is going to break his record.

I don't think the 756* ball will sell for anything near to what it would have been worth had he not had a tarnished reputation.

I can't stand him...

Yes he should. So should Pete and Shoeless Joe. Even through the steroid era he was winning gold gloves and MVP's. Beyond those he has a great resume with near 3000 hits, a high OBP, a near .300 hitter, and near the top in RBI's.
A-Rod is the odds on bet, but I will put my money on Albert in St. Louis, or Caberra in Florida. it should be around 800.
The guy should get what ever he can. Make that dollar man!!!
Because of what I said before, I respect him. He is the best player in this era, only because Griffey could not stay healthy.

The first question in meaningless. The situations of Bonds and Rose have nothing to do with each other; they are not even remotely similar.

The second, any answer would just be guessing, but the popular position is to praise Alex Rodriguez. And Bonds isn't done yet.

The third, well, we'll just have to find out, won't we?

1. YES he should & Uncle Petey as well
2. Ryan Howard.... 777
3. $756,000 ( maybe $ 2 million)
... i don't care too much for Barry but i give him a lot of credit in breaking this sacred RECORD
73 HRs in a season & 756 + for his career

1) Bar-Roid was already a Hall of Famer before he did the juice. Or, at least increased the amount. He's no different than Mark McSteroid or Sammy "no habla ingles" Sosa. Because of his personality, the media would love to keep him out(ala Jack Morris) but until there is concrete proof, that just won't happen.

2) Don't really care

3) Whatever loser on Ebay is willing to pay for it.

4) Bar-Roid is an asshole, but if he played on your team and produced, you would accept him.
