Why is this even an issue in the Presidential Debates? This issue will never be resolved. We'll never reach an agreement no matter who is in office, be it Mit Romney, Rudy G., Hillary, Obamma, or the Santa Claus. Why can't we not even discuss it and get on to REAL issues like the war, oil, ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, terrorism? These things are far more important, atleast to me anyway.

They want to get to the majority...which is also difficult. Looking at the size of the controversy and the strength of the argument on both sides, I would say the nation is divided in 1/2 - literally.

It is one of those issues that both sides debate endlessly. And I think it's because they have completely different ideas about the value of life.
It's not that one side values life more than the other. It's just that you've got one side (pro-choice) thinking it's immoral to not consider qaulity of life (in terms of poverty) or readiness to have children. And then the other side (pro-life) often finds it immoral to even consider issues like this.

I'm Pro-Life and it is a big issue. One thing is for sure that you have to be an abortionist if you want to run as a Democrat.

Pro-Life.

Why? My mother and your mother both made the decision to give us a chance to live and presented an opportunity to make something of ourselves, so they must have both been Pro-Life ultimately -- that's good enough for me! Or did your mother make the wrong choice? ;-)

I agree the candidates' views on abortion won't end the war in Iraq. It won't find Osama. The candidates just want to be liked, they don't want to take on the real issues because it could loose them support. that's my opinion just in case you wanted to know.

Because fanatical Christians still run the show in America, and the liberals are a half-baked alternative.
