I've store most of my important files inside this thumb drive before i sent my PC for reformatting and install the genuine Windows XP Pro. ( I've been using an unlicensed software earlier). After installing the genuine windows, my thumb drive can't be use at all. When i insert the thumb drive into the USB port, its like i've never insert anything. Its doesn't detect the thumb drive at all. Please help me....

Test your thumb drive at the back USB ports or in another PC. If it does not work in another PC, that drive is dead. If it works at the back panel but not on the front panel of your PC, the front USB slots may have been disconnected.

plug something else into the usb port. Like a usb mouse. If it doesn't work somethings wrong with the usb drivers. Right click my computer, device manager, and look for a yellow exclamtion mark, then follow the instuctions

Yes first of all unlicensed XP is illegal and you could get report by microsoft. Next obv. you used an unlicensed version so it wouldn't read it in the licensed one.

your thumb drive won't work because you used a yuck version of WXP so nothing is going to read those files. SORRY CHARLIE!!!
