I am very dedicated and experienced in the fishkeeping hobby and even have my own fish forum. If I kept up with water changes and params could I keep just one pair in a 10 gal tank alone? I've really wanted them and I am able to take care of them.

I am curious as to why you didn't ask this question on your own forum. You should know that in a heavily planted, well filtered 10 gallon that it can be done. I wouldn't recommend it in a tank that small, but it can be done.

yes, but only 1. They tend to get alittle larger about 6-7 inches, but i have kept them in a 10 gallon. Itshould be fine with regular water changes.

You could if you do a weekly gravel vacuuming, and plant the tank well. If you are trying to breed them, check out the site in my profile.
