When someone dies and you didn't get to say goodbye :(

My list would have been longer but this is what our family is dealing with at the moment.

Many things. Especially movies, because I do not like to rent them, but only buy them. I have not gone to a movie in a theater since My Steve died. The night before he died, actually, which may explain why I have not gone.

One movie I found extremely disappointing was Pan's Labyrinth. I had heard it praised by people whose tastes were, I thought, similar to my own. I was wrong: I was bored and more than a little annoyed at the movie.

When I put something in the fridge, like left overs or a good soda, and when I go to eat or drink it, it's gone. Someone either threw it out or ate it. Man.....that really is a disappointment when you are craving something that you KNOW is there, but it ain't when you go to get it :(

Devastating not just disappointing. The coffee jar is empty. NOOOOOOO how can this have happened? I had jars and jars of the lovely black velvety life giving ambrosia. How can it have all disappeared. Who has stolen all my coffee. Bitter, dark, black silkily, smooth heaven in a mug. Who?

Err ............. wait a minute, I think all these dirty coffee cups at the kitchen sink may start to explain it.

Oh well, coffee shopping time.

The fact that the suburban sprawl is creeping out into the country. I wish those damn people would stay in the city instead of cutting down the trees and paving everything and putting up big box stores.

The people at the bank are calling me every day. I've let my life lead me to such a place where I am broke and badly in debt. I'm disappointed in myself pretty much.

People in general and their inability to remain civil during community points of stress. For example, if heat or cold affect public mass transportation ability to operate in timely fashion - it is not unlikely to witness people being rude, mean, or "uncivil". This lack of "civility" to me is disappointing.

The lives lost in futile wars.
A collective voice that cries for peace but can't be heard.
Man's uncanny attitude towards something good.
Faith that sometimes wanders in vast nowhere,
and threatens to break and get lost...forever.
