i would not buy a windows pc. they are plagued with viruses,spyware, and adware. with a mac i dont have to even think about any of that. macs do cost more then windows pc's but its worth it and i would buy macs no matter how much they cost.

This is the age old debate. PC users will tell you it has more apps, Apple users will tell you it is more secure. Personally, I prefer PCs. If you're into games, PC is the way to go. If you are heavy into video, graphic or audio editting, Apple is clearly better.
Do not be fooled by htose poeple who say Apple computers are more secure. It is simply not true. It really comes down to that PCs dominate the market so hackers are going to be more willing to develop exploits for PCs. Why waste yuor time writing code on a platform that only about 10% of computer users support?
PCs are also more cost efficient than Apples, especially if you are able to build your own PC.
Bottom line: I prefer PCs, but Apples are not bad. You need to weigh your decision on what you want to use the computer for.

It would depend on what you wanted to do gaming and CAD you should go with PC if you want integrated graphics that are fairly good that also has an OS that can run windows and mac get a mac and if you are an uber enthusiast get a PC or if you get the best and fastest graphics and good components or get one pre-built (go with ABS or cyberpowerPC) then you can do all of it so it just depends.

I would never get a mac in my life. Only if im a video person and i like to edit videos then i would get a mac. PC's have more programs for them also.

i will say this - the macs are great and always will be easier to use than a PC (I have both at work - and at home) but a pc will have more software choices than a mac - for now.
Check out the new imacs on apple.com - i would buy one of those for home use as a first choice.

I wouldn't buy a PC. I don't need a computer that is plagued with viruses, adware, and malware. I don't need a computer with tech support from India. I don't need a computer that is built with the parts coming from the supplier who puts in the lowest bid. You get what you pay for.

i wouldnt buy a mac if your not willing to shell out tons of cash for a just for its looks and its OS. although its a much more secure OS.
