Open the visor & put your arm left through (in through the neck, out through visor).
You'll find it sits quite comfortably on the elbow. On the right arm it can make throttle control moredifficult.
If attached to the bike its likely to move around & bang against something - bad for bike & helmet!

I usually slip it up my arm on my elbow!
I don't like to put anything on the bike that requires tying or strapping it down.
Not many people want to get on the back of my bike so its not a major concern of mine!

I sometimes set mine on the passenger backrest and fasten the strap under the pad.
I sometime set it on my passenger and fasten the strap under her chin.
