I've followed all the guidlines from the internet, but I can't even seem to get remotely close to having an orgasm. What's wrong?

I was not molested or abused in any way.
I am, however, on an antidepressants. Would that affect me sexually?

Yes, antidepressants can affect your sexual tension.
I would also do some self-exploring & see what you like.
This way you can instruct your partner & achieve pleasure.

Some antidepressants can cause you to have difficulty reaching orgasm. If it is possible for you to switch, talk to you doctor about switching to Wellbutrin. This type of antidepressant does not have negative side effects, and can actually increase sex drive in some people!
What ways of masturbating have you tried? Are you only trying to reach orgasm using your fingers? Try using a vibrator, handheld shower head, or some other pulsating device. Even a small back massager from wal-mart works!

The antidepressants are a likely culprit. Check the drug side effects warnings, and maybe speak to your doctor about it. Aside from that, some women just have an extremely difficult time reaching orgasm, but this tends to change throughout their lives. Keep trying, and don't stress out! Stress and anxiety will kill any chance you have.

Check your meds and see if "lowered sex drive" or anything like that is listed as a side effect. And don't feel bad. I've never been able to pleasure myself either. My boyfriend is able to make me orgasm (and it took a long time before he could), but when I try to do anything to myself I can't feel it. So you're not alone.

anti-depressants can have side affects on sexual aspects of ur life. if its a big problem, i'd talk to the doctor who perscribes it. i think this problem is more common than most people think, so try not to be embarrassed about it. **i know, its easy for ME to say!** but honestly, no medication should have that sort of effect on someone. i hope ur problem is resolved in the near future!
