Sorry about the crappy joke that got played on you. Some people think being scared is actually funny. It's quite clear they don't understand your extreme fear. Try not to be too angry at them. Maybe they were trying to help you get over the fear. Anyway, try not to think about it too much. A lot of people have fears of things that are "silly" to others. I will be happy to tell you that mine is clowns. I have been afraid of them since I was a little girl. I can't begin to tell you how it sucked to walk around my house where my mom had her small collection of clowns. The pictures really freaked me out! I also dreaded going to the circus while everyone else was excited to go. Just remember to think: They are just inanimate objects...not real. Take care and here is a hug: O.

You probably watched too many "CHUKY" movies when you were a child.
What makes you afraid of dolls anyway?
You should try to find out way you are afraid of dolls and confront your fears.
Can't imagine you walking into a room and finding yourself with a manican, it's like a huge doll in someway.
Manybe your parents are trying to help you get rid or your fear of dolls, if thats the case, then it wqasn't cruel.

That is kind of mean!

My mom did the something like that to me after we finished watching Poltergiest. I was scared to go in my room, but the next day, when I finally went down there, all my stuff was tipped over and I started flipping out! I came upstairs and my mother and sister were sitting there laughing.

That was funny! But why are you afraid of dolls? Dead Silence was a lame movie.

That is mean and rude!!! I'd like to say that your parents have a good sense of humor, but I won't - they crossed a definite line. If my mom ever tried to tease me with a spider, I'd leave home and never talk to her again. I would have thought that she had understood my fears, and respected them. But I would have been wrong. Parents are for nurturing!! Not for doing stuff like this.

Oh man that is harsh! If I were you I'd make her sit down and really listen to you. Maybe she as a mother does not know how to listen? Not everyone was born to be a natural mother, parenting is learning process. or ... I'd seek revenge of some sort. Woof

Call CPS and get yourself moved to a foster home. Your mother is a phsycopath.

Or

Grow up and realize dolls aren't scary and movies aren't real.

Yeah, that does seem pretty cruel. (I saw the ad for Dead Silence and I thought it was creepy!) I would freak if there was a gigantic spider on my bed or something.
