my friend is having a b-day party and i have NO idea what to get her- she isnt really a girly girl but she isnt really a sporty girl either-please help! I am goin to give best answer to the first person who answers- well if it is a good answer and it helps me but please help me!!!!!!

Tickets to a concert or play - A day at a local amusement park - lessons for something she is interested in (i.e. piano, horseback riding, pottery)
If you can't afford much then a gift certificate somewhere she likes would be nice.

Why not break all the rules and just get her something fun!
The last time I had to go birthday shopping, I bought a Mormon buddy of mine a massive bottle of Jack Daniels (he drinks) and a wind-up Catholic Nun that waddles across the floor and shoots sparks from her mouth.
I told him the nun was Nikki from "Big Love." Otherwise known as a third wife. He could also use the toy as a lighter for his cigarrettes.

Think about what your friend likes, what does she enjoy. Anything from music to movies to simple jewellery and perfume to food and books. Perhaps a pamper kit from something like The Body Shop or a fun food gift basket full of her favourite goodies.
And when in doubt, ask the source!

Spa gift certificate! I don't care how old a girl is...the spa is the place, manicure, pedicure, great hair style, lotions, potions, lingerie....you name it, she can get it, and you can give what you can afford. Its always a winner!

There is a web site –photoartomation.com ( http://www.photoartomation.com ), they convert a digital photos into paintings of different art styles and print them on canvas. My friend sent them a picture of his wife and they turned it into beautiful piece of art. I saw it and it really looks good.

you could start by askin some of her friends what she likes and if doesnt work buy her some pajamas and a piece of jewellery something really nice

Personally, I found that people really like socks... If she has a favourite animal, find it on some socks, and through in a necklace or hair piece... its little, but memorable, (How cool are socks?!)
Or you could make a gift, I do ceramics to hence my suggestion. figures a also very good.
I dunno, its truely up to you and your relationship with her. ;)
