x^3+6x^2-x-30
=x^2(x-2)+8x(x-2)+15(x-2)
=(x-2)(x^2+8x+15)
=(x-2)(x+3)(x+5).ANS.

X^3+6x^2-x-30=0

Let x = 2

8+24-2-30=0

First factor x = 2

(x-2)(x^2+8x+15)=0

Factorise X^2+8x+15

(x-2)(x+3)(x+5)

Factors are X = 2, -3, -5

Hope this helps

x = 2 makes the expression 0 so x-2 is a factor. Now divide x^3+6x^2 -x -30 by x-2 getting x^2+8x+15 = (x+5)(x+3).
So factors are (x-2)(x+3)(x+5)
