I want someone who is trustworthy and knows what they are doing.... I need an agent because i have learned it is a whole lot easier to get an acting job on t.v. with an agent....
*also who doesnt charge!! LOL

It depends where you live. If you live in NYC or LA you will have a much better chance. I'd look at an Agent directory, and contact all of them IF YOU ARE IN A PLAY or have a SAMPLE TAPE of your work. Otherwise, an agent doesn't have much reason to talk to you rather than lots of other people. Get opinions from people who know acting whether your stuff is good first. I'd send out postcards and e-mails to as many agents as possible inviting them to something. If someone shows up or shows an interest, chances are they are trustworthy to go to the trouble. Just make sure no one ask you for money or asks you to take classes from an 'associate'. That immediately is a sign they're not trustworthy
