The only way to be safe is to bite the bullet and pay for your music. iTunes, Napster Rhapsody and walmart.com are all virus free and you won't get sued by the RIAA.

I'd guarantee that 100% of pirated software, music, videos etc downloaded from a pirate bittorent tracker will have a trojan downloader, malware or worse. If not the software itself then the keygen will. When I was learning malware and virus coding, the fastest way to find a variety was to download keygens, software from crack sites or bittorent style networks.
If you want a up close and personnal experience of drive by malware loading or zero days, just visit a crack site.
My advice is to go legit heh.

An eight step music process, that has kept me virus and spyware free.
1)Have Antivirus (I use Avg free antivirus 7.5)
2)Have it active
3)Have Antivirus (I use SUPERantispyware Free)
4)Have it active.
5)Download eMule
6)Download Bit Torrent client (be sure it is bit torrent, other versions have viruses at least for me they have)
7)Use eMule as primary and if the song is not found use the bit torrent.
8)Download the requested data or music.
Hope this is helpful

none of the p2p sharing programs are safe. u can get vireses, spyware, and adware from all of them. not to mention downlo and media from them w/o paying for it is illegal. anyone who does that deserves the viruses.
