i know i wouldn't. i'm a big collecter. i dont care if it would be worth a million, i would still keep it. childish, yes.

even if your not a vivid collector, the ball will grow in value like a stock (most of the times)

Well, since I don't currently have a million dollars and it would be drastically life changing for me if I did. I would certainly sell it today.

Yes, it may grow in value over the years, especially if A-Rod or Pujols retire without besting this record. However, it should always be worth a pretty penny no matter what happens with A-Rod and Pujols. I think the ball might actually be worth more because of all the controversy. This is the ball that put the stamp on the whole thing.

I would cash out now, because I could use the money. However, if I was already rich, then I was a collector, I would keep it.

Yes I would keep it but not for a colection. I would keep the ball so that Bonds Could never get it. I would just let the ball sit in the back of a safe until people forget about it and then let some kids play baseball with it and then hit it over the fence and land in the old grumpy guys yard and the kids will be to scared to get it so the ball will be lost forever! I was serious there.

i would sell it.

1) personal reasons - it could help me pay off loans for college, it has got to be worth at least 500 grand, and that would absolutely save my life.

2) current records? - a-rod is the fastest player to hit 300, 400, 500 and probably soon to be 600 Hr's. With his pace, he is bound to break Bond's record sometime with the next 10-15 years. His ball will be worth next to nothing after he is in second* place.

but being a collector & a bonds fan, i would keep it. but think of how it will decrease once a-rod breaks the record

If some sucker wants to give me 1/2 mil for a friggin baseball, fer chrissake, I'm selling, are you kidding me???

"Vivid collector"??? You mean "Avid"?

Stocks dont always grow in value, and I suspect if Bonds is proven to have taken steroids, neither will the ball.

Childish?? Stupid! Several years ago someone offered my daughter $1000.00 for 2 BEANY BABIES!!! Do you think I sold them? You have to know I did!!!

id sell it to some lame for money. forget collecting even thought it would have personal value, but as seen on espn, the guy was nearly mobbed to death in a dogpile and id want money for the ball in return

In a heartbeat. I'm not a collector, so it doesn't matter to me in that respect.

Besides, Bonds will probably hit a few more home runs before the end of his career, so you want to cash in while you can.

I doubt it will go up, especially after A-Rod breaks the record. Just ask McFarlane...who spent 3 mill on Mcgwire's ball...bet you it's not worth nearly 3 mill anymore.

i would sell it as quick as possible. before everyone finds out he cheated, and the ball goes way down in value.
