This is funny I just had an experience like this happen I called planned parenthood and they helped answer this same question.
They were also open minded about the situation, but the bottom line is that if you are not caring 100% about your babies health before it is born chances are you wont when it is born.
So she is already off to a rocky start, weed out of all drugs including ciggarettes is the least harmfull to the baby, but it is still doing harm.
It sounds like she has a lot of maturing to do. Especially becuase a parent is the largest influence on a childs development and life.
If she doesn't mind her child thinking that she is a druggy and blaming her for any issues they might have, then she should think about her actions befors she acts.
You should be a friend and relize that its not horrible and that a child is a lot of responsability I just had my first 9 months ago.
Where is the father? He should be helping out aswell it takes to not to just make the kid but to raise it too.
Hope this helps you out

Dear I personally thing you should bring in outside help that will help the teen. The smoke can harm the baby. If you care about the baby and the girl I would go for help to someone you can trust. I'm not talking about the police...they are not always the wisest choice but someone else who has a bigger influence on her.

I'm not sure that there is a whole lot that you can do, but it wouldn't hurt to confront her about it. If nothing else, if she has parents that are around (assuming they are not the ones supplying her with the weed, or anything like that) I would talk to them, they may be able to get her to come to her senses, or at least get her into treatment for the duration of her pregnancy to ensure she doesn't do any drugs. I hope that you are able to help her.

You need to talk to her first she doesin't need to be smoking anything wih a child in her. If she doesin't listen to what you say I would try telling her parents or somebody close to her, but probley not the police, because I honestly dont think they wold do much about the situation unless they have evidence of the situation!, but talk to her about the safty of the baby and maybe look it up and find some stuff on the computer you can show her on the harm and effects it can have on the unborn child!!

It depends. Do you actually KNOW this teen? If you know this teenager, you have an open door to speak into her life. However, if you don't know this teen, saying something to her wouldn't be wise. You would come accross as more critical than helpful. If you do have somewhat of a relationship with her, I would advise taking her out for lunch and using that as an opportunity to first show that you care. Teens will not listen to your advice if they have any doubt that you actually care about them.

Inform the parents and contact the police. She could get in trouble for child endangerment. Most states have laws about that type of thing now. She must not realize that doing that could hurt the baby or she does realize it and doesn't care. I really wish teens would keep their legs closed and pants zipped. This kids raising kids **** is getting old.

She admitted on 16 & pregnant that she smoked while pregnant. This girl should be shot, she's a terrible mother & human. Total waste of space.

I'm with telling mom and dad if she is underage. If not, hand her a brochure from a funeral home and tell her if she keeps the grass smoking up, her baby will need this.
Chances are if she is smoking weed, she is probably drinking too. Sad.

The best thing would be go to the person directly and tell them you're worried about the baby. And offer to help. If you have to threaten them with calling the cops, do it. Try to get the person's name and number so you can establish a relationship and help the young mother do better.

you need to explain to her in a gentle but firm way that any kind of smoke or any chemcial is not good for her or her precious Baby, this girl must be so sad probably trying to forget her problems, let her know its time for her to rejoice and celebrate in a healthy lifestyle the coming of her child....goodluck
