I recently asked for advice about an unplanned pregnancy, and everyone was so helpful that now I'm wondering-- with an "average" (I know, haha) labor, how long would it be before a woman could return to college classes & student teaching? For those of you with children, how long would it have/ did it take you?

You see, I'm as stubborn & determined as a boar, and I'm wondering-- is there any chance it could be within two weeks? Or is that all urban legend about people who do that?

I had my daughter when I was in high school and went back after just two weeks. It is different for everyone but go back when you feel ready. For some it takes longer. It has a lot to do with how labor and delivery went. If it kicked your butt, then you might need a little down time, or if you had a Csection it might take a little longer to get back into the swing of things. Another thing to consider is how much rest are you and your baby getting and who will care for the child while you are away. Good luck and Congrats!!!

Depending on if you have a natural or c-section, anywhere from 4-6 weeks. My son was a preemie (Almost 3 months early) and was in Children's hospital for 10 weeks. I had an emergency c-section and returned to my job for 2 hours a day 2 days a week after 4 weeks until he came home from the hospital.

What do you imply no longer crate educated but? That she does not like or take delivery of it? If that is the case, ninety nine% of the time it's the handler's fault. Many house owners dislike the proposal of crate coaching. Because they do not love it, they prevent it is use to simply once they consider it is undoubtedly integral: When they are leaving the puppy by myself to go away the condominium or fall asleep. Guess while your puppy is such a lot depressing: When they do not get to experience your corporation for awhile. Guess what occurs whilst you simplest use the crate from time to time while the puppy is sad: They grow to be unsatisfied approximately the crate. To make issues worse such a lot persons act responsible approximately hanging the puppy within the crate, rush to allow the puppy out while it makes noise, and permit the puppy to go out the crate at the same time exited and concerned. It all provides as much as a puppy who learns to not just like the crate since he senses that his proprietor does not love it. Crate the puppy in a sort of circumstances and occasions so they do not study to partner it with something in targeted. It's no longer anything they simply need to suffer while they do not see you. It's a position they may be able to cross to spend time any time you consider it is integral. Crate her at the same time you are sitting there looking TV. Crate her whilst you go away the room to visit the toilet. Feed her within the crate. Drop treats within the crate. Every time you ship her to the crate, regardless of how she acts, you will have to act love it's probably the most brilliant factor on the earth. If the puppy is ever roaming the condominium un-supervised for even one unmarried moment, you are no longer utilising the crate and doing all of your condominium coaching effectively. If the crate is there however the puppy is sneaking off to have injuries at the same time you are no longer watching, you are defeating the complete rationale of it.

When I was in college, I knew a girl who had a baby in the middle of the semester and took maybe a week off. That's gumption, though. You've got to have drive and a great support system to do that, but sure it's possible.

If you have to put the baby in daycare most places won't take them until they are 6 weeks old. If you have someone to watch the baby for you then you can go back as soon as you're up for it. For me I was up and around in a few days, but still tired from getting up all night. Good luck and Congrats on your baby.

I could have gone to school the next day.
But I think a couple of weeks off work is more normal to allow baby bonding time.
The biggest problem is finding someone who will take care of the baby (and paying for it if it is not free)
So I would say as soon as you find someone to take care of the baby.

I knew someone who went back to class 2 days later! It all depends on each individual woman, ie how her labor was, what kind of physical strength/ tolerance she has etc.

if this child is born by Cesarean then you may need a month or so but if it is natural then as soon as you can walk .. a few days..
moms need to get up to feed the baby so if they can do this then you can go back to school....
