i would def go back on the pill then...my period is irregular as well...i am lucky if i get it every three months... it is very hard that way to find out if you really are preg or not. you should prob push the issue with ur doctor just in case there is suttin wrong..but i wouldn't worry bout it too much, unless you start to bleed MORE than normal.

ok first off a lot of women dont realise that while you are on the pill you never have a real period. you have what is called a withdrawel bleed. you do not ovulate and therefore do not pass an egg only blood and uterine lining, so going off the pill it will definately take a while to sort your body out especially if you have been on it for years and havent ovulated for years. Dont panic it will soon return mine took 6 months. use condoms until you have taken a full cycle of the pill just to be sure but if you decide to stay off them you will need to look at other contraception. good luck

Even the most regular of women can have an irregular period now and then. This is especially true when your body is adjusting to a change in hormone levels, like when you go on or off birth control pills... Many women going off of birth control pills will not resume their normal cycles for several months. They DO resume, however... Do NOT be worried at his point.

It's completely normal for your cycle to be irregular when you stop taking the pill. My friend went off hers in January, and hasn't had a period yet (her doctor has given her several pregnancy tests, and told her not to worry!) There's no magic way to make your period start- just relax, and talk to your doctor if you're still concerned.

being off the pill for that long will make your period late and it is going to take some time for it to come back
