If you know that you were or are pregnant and are bleeding I would just go to the doctor for a check up. It also all depends how far along you were I miscarried at 4 weeks and everything came out. I don't mean to sound nasty but for your informaition I saw tissue which I assume this was the sac also you have lots of blood clots. I didn't have a D & C they just monitored my HCG level to make sure it went down to 0 so thats all. The farther along you are they might need to do a D & C I think it all depends on the person everyones different so if you seen tissue and arent that far along I would say it came out but if you want to make sure go to the doctor. Sorry if you had a miscarriage I know its hard but life does go on. Take care good luck

It's possible to do it on your own, but there's a chance that not everything will be expelled. If that's the case, you could risk infection and would need a doctor's visit anyway. If you think you're having a miscarriage and it's your first time, I would personally recommend going to the doctor. It's a traumatic experience, and the sooner it's over, the better. Doing it on your own could take days, even weeks, whereas a D&C procedure takes 30 minutes.

A very early term miscarriage is usually not even noticed, but if you're more than a couple of weeks along, I would definitely go see the doctor to make sure everything is okay.

You should see the doctor to make sure that all of the fetal tissue is out or it could cause an infection, and cause you to become sterile.
