They can be born naturally, but a lot of preemies are breach so they might not survive a natural birth. My son was born at 29 weeks and was breech so he had to be born by emergency c-section because his heart stopped. A natural birth would have been too much for his tiny body. He will be 3 on Friday and no delays at all.

C Section! Normally a preemie baby is not in birthing position! they r still in breech position and u cant delivery them naturally like that!

my twins were a few weeks early (although they were considered full term for twins) and both were vaginally. my doctor did make me get the epidural for the safety of everyone and just in case. he wanted to be sure that he could get in there if he had to and not worry about getting me numbed up first. i had no other complications other than a twin birth. we all came home 3 days later (required by our state) happy and healthy.

I gave birth to my 28 weeker vaginally. There are benefits to the baby when they travel through the birth canal.

I went into preterm labour at 32 wks. It was natural vaginal delivery.
All is well, got a rampaging toddler now!

My twins were 6 weeks premature (34weeks 1day). I delivered them naturally. One regular vaginal and the other was 60 second after delivered her breach! Best wishes

yes, preemies can be born vaginally. It does not HAVE to be c-section.

it depends on the situation. If it is an emergency, c-section, I think they can be born naturally if the mother actually goes into labor.
