Definitely the blue eyes and the Hockey Rink background are me. I really do a good job maintaining my weight and I am (slightly) older. I am too scared to put a "real" picture of me up in that location.
Consider if you will being older, slightly longer hair, gracefully graying at the sideburns - that's me, my sport, the passion to which I pursue everything in my life.

I think the question is geared towards animated Avatar, not your actual pictures - obviously pictures are of you.
The cartoon Avatar either represents how we look in a way or maybe how we wish to look.
My Avatar has me in a suit which is how I dress for work.
I keep my hair short and a little spikey so that matches.
The wink is just my way of saying hello to all you kind yahoo answer strangers.
So yes, I believe for the most part it represents something about us.
