If it is because "he cheated," he didn't. When he allegedly took "the cream" and "the clear" those substances were NOT against the rules of the game. Are you also calling for all "cheaters" to be treated the same way?

If it is because "what he did was illegal" do you treat Babe Ruth the same way? Babe Ruth ingested MANY illegal substances between 1920-1933 during the U.S. period of alcohol prohibition.

Do you know anyone that has ever taken Viagra, Ritalin, Prozac, Red Bull, Adderall, Ambien, ASPIRIN? Those are ALL performance enhancers. ANYTHING that alters your body chemistry other than food and water can enhance your bodies performance. You may not be a pro athlete... but if it's OK for you or your friends to do it, but you pile on Barry Bonds, face the facts: YOU are a hypocrite.

Gene... I can't speak for anyone else. But, whoever said I LIKE the guy?

I don't even know him.

- Then again, neither do those that claim to HATE him.

On the other hand, when I go to see a baseball game or watch one on TV or listen to a game on the radio... I am doing it to be ENTERTAINED.

Since I do not care what people do to themselves in the privacy of their own home, be they a guitarist, or singer, actor or any one else.

Since I do NOT have a double standard in how I choose to view those that entertain me, I am NOT a hypocrite.

Seems to that today a lot of reporters spent more time talking about the cloud of drug use rather than the home run record. Darn those hypocrites.

There should be a one strike and your out rule. If a player admits to using a drug he needs to banned for life. If his team supports or tolerates his drug use then that team needs to leave the sport.

As far as Aaron is concerned:
"He [Selig] figured that this would be the best way to handle it, and I agreed," Aaron recently told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "Just make one statement [on Bonds breaking the record], and then be done with it."

Bonds never tested positive for any drugs, he's always denied using them, we are all supposed to be presumed innocent and we owe that to Barry Bonds as well. It was total class that Hank Aaron recorded his message congratulating Barry Bonds that was played at the game. Even caffeine in your coffee or tea or coca cola is a performance enhancer. I join the great Hank Aaron in congratulating Barry Bonds for his great accomplishment.

I take steroids for asthma and don't consider myself a cheater because I don't play baseball and can't hit a pitch over 350 ft. I also can't throw over 100 mph.....

My hat size grew and body bloated up but it's because of water retention. That's what happened to Barry. When you get older, you hold water in a lot more than when you're in your 20's.

I've never taken Tylenol and had my jacket size go from 42 to 52 and my shoe size go from an 11 to 13.

If you LIKE him, what kind of hypocrite are you?
If it's because he has a good personality, he doesn't.
If it's because he is nice, he isn't.
If it's because he likes all races, he doesn't.

Do you know anyone who hates black people? Or hispanics? ANY overt detestation of a racial group makes a person a racist. If it's all right for Barry Bonds to do it, face facts: YOU are a hypocrite.
