Do you harvest the corn when the kernels are as big as the kind at the super market???

Harvest corn when the ear starts drooping down, and the silks turn black. Take a knife and cut into a couple of ears. squeeze a kernal or two, it should be full and pop 'milk'. Don`t wait until the 'milk' sets. You usually only have a 3 0r 4 day window in which to harvest sweet corn.

The tassels will dry. Open a husk and poke a kernel with your fingernail. They should be soft with a milky ooze out.

Don't go by the size. That depends on the variety, and growing conditions.

open a little on top put your thumb nail in it and if it squirts juice out it is ready, good luck.

umm they wont be that big unlesws you use unnatural things which u shuldnt
