As for the tiredness, that is normal. As for the headaches, I am not too sure. I am sure these lovely women on here will be able to help you. Good luck!

Yes, being tired is very normal. All I have to say about it is GET USED TO IT!!! For the next 6-7 weeks you're going to want to take a nap around 4:30-5 then you will go to bed...or should I say PASS OUT around 9-9:30. I'm 14 weeks and am finally over that stage.

However, i'm now getting the severe migraine headaches where I have to be in a dark room in order to feel like my head is not being smashed open with an axe. This, my OB told me is normal as well. Pretty soon the constipation will come!! YAY!!! :)

Good Luck!

This all sounds perfectly normal. Most women are very tired in early pregnancy. I'm only 5 weeks along and I'm also taking a nap every day even though I get 8 hours of sleep at night!

The headaches are caused by pregnancy hormones. Tylenol is preferable, but if it doesn't work for you, 1 ibuprofen is ok once in a while (but don't ever take it in the third trimester).

In the 2nd trimester you should start feeling much better.

Yes, it is normal to feel very tired. It will probably last most of the first trimester and go away in the second. It may or may not return in the third trimester. Headaches are normal too, but if you have a constant headache that lasts for multiple days and doesn't go away talk to your OB! Good luck and congratulations!

Both are common in the first trimester and fatigue is do to a change in hormones and your body's adjustment to pregnancy. I slept all the time during my first trimester (especially with my first pregnancy). Headaches can be easily triggered by many things. You may just be dehydrated, try drink 8 glasses of water a day. Also, are you a caffeine beverage drinker? You may be having withdrawals from the caffeine. My doctor told me that two cups of coffee, tea or soda is fine for pregnant woman (just watch your sugar content with sodas). Good luck and congrats!

Quite normal : ) Just make sure that you get plenty of rest and are taking your prenatal vitamins as well as drinking enough water. Water is vital during pregnancy, and dehydration can cause that dull headache. Remember that while you are pregnant you can take tylenol but no other pain relievers unless directed by your doctor. Congratulations and I hope you feel better soon!

Fatigue is totally normal. Your body is growing a whole new human, and that takes a lot out of you. Headaches are normal, too. I got them when I was pregnant, and my doctor told me to drink more fluids because I could have been dehydrated. Don't drink too much in a short amount of time, though, because it can actually thin your blood. Eight ounces per hour is enough.

It is normal, for both.

The fatigue and headaches should start to fade away around 12 weeks.

Congratulations!
