was just wondering if the actress who plays Alice horton was still alive. Have not seen her on Days for several months now. she is such a cool actress.

Francis Reid turned 90 in 2003 and since then her screen time has greatly diminished. She last appeared on the 4th of July episode in 2007, which marked her last appearence. She asked the show to tape her character's funeral even though she is still very much alive. She is the show's only original actor to date, having appeared on the first episode in 1965.

Ms. Reid taped that show, saying it was going to be her last. She also asked that the show tape her funeral, even though she is still alive. She is very fragile, but she is a wonderful woman to be able to sit in front of the camera even for a few moments. The show has offered to tape her at her home, but she has refused, saying it wouldn't be the same.

shes very much alive and at 92 the oldest cast member in the show she did have a mild stroke but the producers still think of her as a good character to have around in the show from time to time not bad for someone who was born in around 1914 december time .

I don't think she has died. I just think she is getting old and has been on days from the beginning. Time for her to rest.
