I think you're feeding into what the American government wants you to feed into, FEAR. Fear causes us to let go of so many things, especially common sense. I will admit that if I see a group of Muslims, I do think that they are up to something, but then I'm slapped back into reality when I realize how we are terrorizing people in Iraq.

Burp cloths are very useful in my opinion. Of course I agree I would never spend a ton of money on them, but most people have used cloth diapers for this as well, but every time I hold a baby I put a cloth on my shoulder because they do drool and spit up. But you are right in saying that you can buy a tea towel or kitchen towel or something that will work just as well. Here is the states you can get packs of burp cloths at Wal-mart or target that aren't very expensive. i had someone tell me recently that the convertible cribs are a huge waste of money that they usually destroy them and are no longer suitable to use as they get older anyway. I don't know that this will sway me at all though, I love the idea. My best friend told me that her son chewed the railing, but they make rubber covers to go over them, so I'm thinking I'm not going to let it deter me from what I want to get. If it's of good quality wood and can easily be fixed if it were to ever get banged up or what not. I'm interested to see what others say though with this being my first as well. :) Edit: I see a lot of people are saying a changing table. I am actually looking for matching furniture that doesn't include a changing table, but a dresser and a chest of drawers. The dresser is designed where you can put the changing pad on top of it if you choose to use as a changing table. That way you have something that will also use later on, which they won't with a changing table. So yeah, I'm not buying one.

Hummmmm - a picture ID is a small price to pay for being sure that only those allowed in your workplace are the ones coming in.
As for controlling who comes in, yes that is a big issue, but it isn't a small feat, and not something that can happen overnight.
First of all, we don't know where they all are, so they give an address where they will be living, and move, and don't report it, will you complain if we have to hire more people to follow these people around to know where they are at all times?
Sure everything should be tighter, they should only be able to stay with approved status for so long, but if you can't find them, how do you get rid of them?
Wear the ID badge knowing that you are doing your part to keep you, your co-workers and company safer!

I don't think the picture ID is 100% related to terrorism. We have always had them at my company. An ex-husband came in once and shot his ex-wife. Companies should protect their employees by having security badges.
I also don't believe that it is only America that is dangerous. The whole world is too dangerous. We definitely need to do more to protect our borders.

How does someone not look "American"? What do you mean? Were they wearing underwear for a hat, or what?
People have been wearing photo id badges at various companies for decades. That is a standard security practice.
