The whole Killers thing is the fact that all their songs are about killing people essentially. Mr Brightside is him getting paranoid that his girl is cheating on him...'and it's all in my head, but she's touching his chest now.' Other songs are about him actually killing her...'I took my baby's breath beneath the chandelier.' Jenny was a friend of mine..him being interviewed by police...'I know my rights' etc. You see? So yeah, Somebody Told Me is basically accusing his girlfriend of cheating, due to rumours, and what's going on in his head.

I think this is song about a rumour that he heard (rumours could be true or not true) about his girlfriend cheating on him with his old girlfriend that he used to go out with February. Which would make his girlfriend a lesbian or straight but the boyfriend would be a transvestite. Weird!!
