Neither. Novak Djokovic will run the table and win the 2008 Wimbledon tournament.
termintator: You may want to edit that stat. Pete Sampras holds the record for most Wimbledon titles at 7. Bjorn Borg holds the record most CONSECUTIVE Wimbledon titles at 5.

Wimbledon King is Federer and as Nadal is the King of Clay.
I would say Novak Djokovic could be close to beat Federer
than Nadal on Grass(Wimbledon)

JULIAN MUST PLAY AT THE CLUB LEVEL SO HE ENJOYS THE PASSION AND EXCITEMENT BROUGHT BY A NADAL GAME. WELL, SORRY TO BURST YOUR BUBBLE, IT AINT GOING TO HAPPEN. EXCEPT FOR RUNNING EVERY BALL AND FRUSTRATING FEDERER WITH THAT TENACITY, NADAL SHOT HAS TO MUCH TOP SPIN FOR GRASS OR THE HARD COURTS. EVERYONE FOCUSES ON THE FINAL AND SAYS HOW CLOSE NADAL GOT TO WINNING AGAINST FEDERER - SURE HE DID. WHAT ABOUT THE ORAD TO THE FINALS WHEREIN UNSEEDED PLAYERS TAKE NADAL TO FIVE SETS AND ALMOST ELIMINATE HIM BUT WOULD NOT GO PASSED 3 SETS AGAINST FEDERER? COME ON, WE ALL NOW THAT FEDERER HAS A MENTAL BLOCK WHEN PLAYING NADAL. IT IS NO WONDER WHY FEDERER WINS AGAINT EVERYONE ELSE AND INCIDENTALLY IF YOU DON'T KNOW THIS, FEDERER HAS WON 3 OF THE LAST 5 GAMES PLAYED AGAINST NADAL. SURELY ONE WIMBLEDON FINAL IS NOT YOUR ONLY GAUGE UNLESS YOU WATCHED IN YOUR CLUB WITH A COUPLE OF FRIENDS AND PRETENDED TO KNOW WHAT TENNIS IS ALL ABOUT. MAYBE YOU ALSO DID NOT KNOW THAT EVERYONE WAS SAYING IF IT REACHED 5 SETS, NADAL WOULD WIN - WELL HE DID NOT SO YOU MUST REALLY LOVE NADAL TO THINK HE'S THE NEXT CHAMP. WE ARE SO FAR FROM THAT STILL AND YOU HAVE NOVAK THREATENING NADAL'S PLACE ALREADY WITHOUT NADAL HAVING TOUCHED THE NO. 1 SPOT. LOOK ME UP MAN AND LET PUT A WAGER ON THAT. AND TO ANYONE WHO PUTS MUCH EMPHASIS ON TIEBREAKS, LISTEN TIEBREAKS ARE PART OF THE FEDERER STRATEGY AGAINST VERY GOOD PLAYERS BECAUSE INSTEAD OF WASTING THE ENERGY TO BREAK SERVE THROUGHOUT THE SET, HE JUST HOLDS HIS SERVE AND EXPENSES THE ENERGY IN A VERY SHORT TIE BREAK. DON'T BELIEVE ME? LOOK AT HIS HEAD TO HEAD WITH IVO KARLOVICH THE 6'10" POWER SERVER, FED HAS WON ALL HIS MATCHES AGAINST HIM - ON TIE BREAKS. UNLIKE NADAL WHO RUNS EVERY BALL BUT THAT IS THE SAME REASON HIS CAREER WILL BE SHORT-LIVED

It's a tricky question to answer, but I would say that federer will pull out a close win. I'm a serious Rafa fan, but I'm looking at it this question objectively. The reasons behind this should give credence to my decision:
1. Federer has a shot that emphasizes on hitting through the ball; the advantage this poses is tremendous as a offensive and defensive tool. On grass, the duration of time that the ball meets the surface is significantly less, and thus a ball that has minimal spin is likely to skid. Rafa's spin is wicked, but this only slows down the ball as it hits the grass, unlike clay where the ball kicks up out of the comfort zone.
2. Fitness: I've taken a good look at Federer's physical condition for the past three years and I haven't really seen major injuries. On the other hand, Rafa's killer speed puts a tremendous strain on his body. I'm afraid that he (rafa) might sustain some kind of limiting injury.
3. Home surface advantage: federer's best surface is arguably grass. True, Rafa is getting used to the surface as well, but given the way Federer's been consistent, I'd find it hard to argue that he's still pretty good for the #1 tennis player.
4. The spotlight: While some can say that Roger is out of his prime, look to Andre Agassi and his age. In 2002-3, he was still one of the greatest players of all time. We shouldn't use age to measure a player's ability. Also, time applies to Roger's opponents(Rafa...most of the time) in a commensurate fashion.
For these reasons, I affirm that Roger will pull the win from Rafa. Sorry for the debate jargon. Ace 'em!

Nadal maybe better at clay but Federer is better in grass.
Federer will win Wimbledon if they meet again.

I'm counting on rafael nadal because this year he just missed his chance to defeat federrer.Fed won in 5 sets, two of them he took in tie breaks.Rafa's disappointment is gonna inspire him and I believe that he would be stunning in Wimbledon next year.He proved that he is very good on the holy Wimbledon grass.Have in mind that he might have been exhausted at the Wimbledon final this year, he played six days in a row due to the rain and federrer had a few days to rest for the same reason.

I'm giving the nod to my boy Roger. Yes he is slowing down but don't we all. Rafa is injured so he may not be his agressive, speedy little self. Plus being the fierce competitor that Roger is he will want to win #6 to pass Bjorn Borg for the most consecutive Wimbledon Titles. And since he will win 2 more before retiring will tie Pete Sampras. I hope that he keeps playing and wins a third to beat Pete. Although Roger is respectful of greatness and history he is not gonna blow a shot at rewriting the History books again.

I'm not sure..its hard to tell this early but i would still say federer,as he is generally speaking the best player ever on grass although nadal is young eager and determined,so it will be a close match!

Federer.
Nadal has a western forehand grip. allows him to create incredible topspin. however, it makes hitting low fast balls to his forehand side harder for him than for Federer who has a semiwestern grip. That is one of nadals weakness. another is his serve....
Since wimbledon is a grass court, the ball speed is very very fast and the ball stays relatively low. ie, Federer's forehand style is better on grass than Nadals forehand style. Nadals forehand is better on clay because clay is a slower surface. Balls tend to bounce higher. And of course, the serve.... Federer's serve is drastically better than Nadals.
Also, if you notice, Federer only lost 3 sets the entire tournament. 2 to nadal. nadal lost 7...
