You guys are nuts these are my issues with this entire thing.

#1 Just because something is in a book "Shadows" doesn't make it true. DOn't believe everything you read people.

#2 What more do you want if he said he unknowingly used than he admitted thats all people want right? Giambi, Sheffield, Mcgwire, Canseco all admitied to using and they are playing and loved.

#3 Palmero lied in Congress and failed and there wasn't this much scrutiny.

#4 Selig and all of major league baseball is as guilty if not more guilty than Barry Bonds. Selig owned the Brewers and they have just like any other team had steroid issues. MLB went into the steroid era with selig at the helm. Remember he rode the steroid thing as long as he could when Big Mark and Sammy were hitting 60 homeruns every year. He had to baseball was down after the stupid strike. Steroids saved baseball and it was ok until Barry was reaching a hallowed record.

#5 Steroids don't help you time or see pitching any better. Other wise would would have at least 30 % of baseball hitting 60 home runs a year.

#6 Everybody was and is juicing. Pitchers have failed drug tests.

#7 If you are going to scrutinize this record every record reached in this era needs to be looked at including Arod's 500 home runs, Jim Thome getting close to 500, Griffey JR, all the way down to Ripkin's consecutive game streak. All occured in the STEROID ERA OF BASEBALL.

You are so right. Where is the proof and not just rumors and opinions. So what if he gained weight. Most people do gain weight between the ages of 22 and 43. That is normal, the same with the hat and shoe size. You gain weight the sizes go up, DUH. There is NO absolute verifiable hard evidence that Bonds KNOWINGLY took steroids. The man that was breaking the law is in jail and should be. Unless someone can PROVE it and weight, size, stats mean NOTHING, there is no proof. You have to have the "smoking gun" and no one has come forth with one. Thanks for the great question. Star for you.

Wake up and face reality!!! He essentially was taking steroids etc. when there was NO testing program whatsoever in place for major league baseball! He also took various forms of synthetic steroids (THG-Clear) and HGH that are not delectable under the current MLB testing program. You do not have to be a Harvard MBA to realize Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa and others were also on the Juice. You can Not gain 30+ lbs of body weight and muscle mass after age 34 with just a weight training and body building program. The "smoking gun" is there, but if you want a failed "Drug" test to prove this YOU are more Naive than even Bud Selig...Do you honestly believe he got that way strictly by training harder? I'd bet all of his 2007 salary on that!!!

I agree with you....I'm tired to hear stupidities about it..many people talk..but nobody until now show any proof against him....other wise he is king of the homers ..."period"

best regards
p.s I'm surprised of the ignorance of some people...with the age you gain weight... also many tests of illegal substances are so sensitive that give positive if you take 2 Tylenol colds for the flu...come on...the guy is the best ..."period"

It is difficult to show a deaf, dumb and blind guy evidence, that everyone else can see. Melon head will be indicted for perjury at the end of the season. he'll be sharing cell with michael vick.

Don't worry about the haters..... They're sad and they can't speak up for themselves because of shame. They're cowards and because they don't have the proof, they might as well commit suicide!

there is lots of proof just by seeing peoples reaction. The commissioner of baseball didnt attend the game bonds broke the record because he knew bonds didnt do it fairly. Same thing with Willy Mays

Hundreds of pages of grand jury testimony and other documents. Most of it hasn't been released publicly, but "Game of Shadows" summarizes it quite well.
