I LOVE this!
To hehll with the government trying to tell these people what they can and cannot name their child.
That's a parent's right to name their child anyway they see fit. Whether you like the sound of it or not.
They want their child to be unique and special and stand out from the crowd. They are raising a nonconformist.
And perhaps that's why the government's trying to stop them.
Government hates independent thinkers no matter what country you live in. It's a threat to their power if people started becoming autonomous from the whims and wishes of "society".
I like the name myself. "4Real".
And I like the substitute "Superman".
Hahahahahaha! Keep up the good work New Zealand parents.
4Real Wheaton.
Superman Wheaton.
You take people's children away when they can't take care of them not when they name them something you don't like. The arrogance of some people.

Unfortunely, some people see their babies as possessions...accessories if you will. They think that since it belongs to them they should be able to call it whatever they want to. If they had a puppy that would be one thing, but this is a human being who has a life of his own. Some day that kid is going to be a grown man, and try getting past an interview for an important position with a name like Superman. Poor little guy.

That is such a sad spot to be in. Poor kid . . . They probably weren't thinking straight! These people are awful to name their child that. What type of name is "Superman" or "4Real"? I never knew someone with a number in their names.

I read about that too, I think it is crazy. They might have done it because all these celebrities are naming their kids all these random names, they figure that they will just get wierder, so in their babies school days everyone will have messed up names, and he will fit right in. I highly doubt that, but its one way to think about it. Honestly though, its a child, not a license plate!

They probably werent thinking to the future. They thought that when he was little he would enjoy it, but thjen what happens when he grows up? When he is rebelling imagine saying to your child "Superman! Finish your VEGETABLES!" This kid will grow up a sad dpoiled brat because of what his parents named him, PooR BoY!

Its really sad. That's like the athiest parents who named their child "God" just to make a statement. I think that these parents are insecure and need attention. They appear to think that this will draw attention to them, and it will. And people will think that they are cruel insensitive people. How sad that our world has come to this.
