My guess is 7-5 and a trip to the Gator Bowl. They are lacking experienced players but their freshman and sophomore classes are VERY talented.....probably the best two recruiting classes they've had in a while. They also have a new defensive coordinator (Corwin Brown) and will be switching to a 3-4 defense. Give them a couple of years and they'll be back in the hunt for a national championship.

If we break even with a 50/50 season it will be a good thing. There are a lot of young pups on the roster this year and we lost a lot of important players. I would love to see them do well this year, but I think it will be more of a learning and getting in the swing of things year with such a young team. Of course they could always surprise us and that would be great.
There is NO easy schedule this year, what the heck is the person above me thinking? Notre Dame has never had an easy schedule and is often touted as having a hard schedule, what is the guy about me smoking?

Notre Dame lost some key players and also may be a little suspect on the offensive and defensive line this year. They will be really good in one or two years but probably will have problems beating teams like Georgia Tech, Michigan, Penn State, USC among others. I believe they will go about 7-5 this season.

Hey man i know you dont want to hear this but they arent going to do good. Look at the schedule. They will be lucky to win 2 maybe 3 games there first 9. If you dont believe me look at it. Notre Dames defense was horrible last year and it didnt get any better. Notre Dames offense was pretty good last year but they lost majority of their starters. They arent going to be good this year man sorry. But you do have Jimmy Clausen who has never lost a football game in his life. He should of went to USC so he could keep his streak going. Also next year you will have the best high school QB in the nation going to Notre Dame a friend of Clausens. But you need other players.

Sat, Sep 1Georgia Tech 3:30 pm -- Loss (First game of year replacing too many key players on offense. They will need to gel)
Sat, Sep 8 at (24) Penn State 6:00 pm -- Loss (AT Penn State, and Penn ST. is going to be pretty good defensively)
Sat, Sep 15 at (8) Michigan 3:30 pm -- Loss (AT Michigan, ouch)
Sat, Sep 22 Michigan State 3:30 pm -- Toss Up (M. State plays them tough)
Sat, Sep 29 at Purdue TBA -- Toss Up
Sat, Oct 6 at UCLA 8:00 pm -- Loss (UCLA returns 20 players from last year)
Sat, Oct 13 (20) Boston College 3:30 pm -- Loss (Although I would not be surprised to see it go another way)
Sat, Oct 20 (4) USC 3:30 pm -- Loss (Come on do you really see it any other way)
Sat, Nov 3 Navy 2:30 pm -- Win
Sat, Nov 10 Air Force 2:30 pm -- Win
Sat, Nov 17 Duke 2:30 pm -- Win
Sat, Nov 24 at Stanford -- Win
So the way I figure, they most likely will have a losing season. The first part of their schedule is tough, and might be demoralizing to a young team. I have respect for Weis as a coach, but the fans need to understand that this is a rebuilding year.

as a fan, i'm sad to say that they are REALLY going to SUCK...
at least they might make a lesser bowl game against a team they can actually BEAT, instead of getting picked for a marquee bowl game they have no business being in and getting their (derrieres) handed to them by vastly superior opposition
