The weight of the Scott Restrikes would have varied because of the method used to strike the coins. The reverse or back was shaved off and then restruck with the die of the Confederate State of America. I am guessing since the amount of metal shaved off was not consistent from coin to coin there would have to be a fairly wide range that the coins would fit into weight wise.

BD in NM has a point there. There are only 4 originals and 500 J.W. Scott restrikes as well was 500 Scott tokens. They are on silver planchets, not white metal, you have one of the many reproductions that are floating around. The Liberty Seated half dollars that were used weighed 13.36 grams, so with shaving down the reverse they would weigh less but not a lot less. Hope this helps.
