Can that happen with like a 3-5 inch heel. Did that ever happen to you?

I doubt that would happen, unless you were trying to run and then fell. It's more likely that you'd twist or perhaps sprain your ankle in such tall heels if you aren't careful.

But I don't really think the likelihood of injury is that high. Practice walking around the house before you go out (this also helps to break them in and protect against blisters), and BE CAREFUL on slick surfaces. Good luck!

If you're not graceful than yes, you can take a spill with some heels! I've rolled on my ankle before but never have had a break or fracture. I'm not a heel type of gal, but on occasion i do have to wear them. Buy a pair and break 'em in around your house.

It happened to me when I wore the cheap platforms (3 inches). I find that platforms doesn't have "funnel" to keep it control to balance. These platforms were plainly straight that couldn't control the balance. As for the heels, it is best to practice to start with 1 inch, then 2 inches, then 3 inches so you would get used to it. Wearing 3 inches high heel at events like wedding or dance, it is very bad idea for first timers. It gives pressure on your toes and these toes would go numb next day. Best to start from 1 inch or 2 inches to see it fits you.

Sure it can happen...never happened to me though. Just start with lower heels and work your way up also chunky heels are easier than stilettos so start with those. You need to make sure they fit you before you try to practice so only borrow from a friend or relative if they really fit you if no one is your size make a trip to the second hand store and buy a few pairs to wear around the house (and outside too don't forget to practice on grass that can be tricky) before buy your first pair.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

How many people do you know who have fractured or broken their ankles because of heels? I dance in them and walk around in them all day. You dont have anything to be afraid of.

Naw!! You can see the kind of heels I wear! Its just a case of learning to walk (or rather slink) about in them! Try wearing them at home first!

Think about it - you're born with heels on your foot and after falling repeatedly learning to walk, you're still scared?
