Jasmin Birth control Question?
I've been on Jasmin for almost a year now. Always take my pills on time and what not... Here's the backround....

So after my last row of pills I did the norm and took my reminder pills and what not... and like normal my period started tuesday that week and lasted up until Friday.

Now... I start my pack on Sundays so of course I waited to start a new pack on that Sunday.

I had intercourse that Saturday night. Was I protected if I didn't use a condom? Does the 3rd week of pills protect you the week after?

Please help! I'm afraid!

As long as you take your pills on time everyday like you say you do, you are protected anytime even during the week of sugar pills. While on the pill you don't have a real period, no egg was released and there's very little tissue build up in the uterus to shed. You were as protected that day you had sex as you would be any other day.

You are still protected at the 99% effectiveness that all pills are.

Which means, you always have a 1% chance of becoming pregnant. Even if you take the pills as directed.

Not to be evil or anything.... but why would you have intercourse without a condom reguardless of being on the pill or not??

(From what i understand of the pill, you'll probably be ok, but you're not in the clear... you are at higher risk than if you had taken the pill in the last 24 hours)

If you are taking pills regularly, you are protected over the one week when you take placebo pills. If you take a break, however, you may not be.

yes, if you take all your pills all month then you are definitely protected the week of your period or the week of sugar pills even if you stopped bleeding.
