Um, let's see. You can use a SOS pad on it, especially after cooking someting that drips a lot of grease, like a chicken or hamburgers.
My dad used to take the grill off the rack and let it sit overnight in the grass, then just hose it off in the morning. Something about the enzymes in the grass that ate up the grease and crud and stuff. That works, too.

They sell these long-handled scrubber thingies in Wal Mart. Spray it down with some Dawn and then scrub really good and it should sparkle.
