Wasn't before Minneapolis! But now she can gain votes from others misfortune...and imagine that she was the first to mention it and use it in her campaign. I'm sorry but DOT's everywhere have been saying roads and bridges are in serious need of attention for a long time. She never stepped up till it is national news about a bridge collapsing. Just my opinion but she shouldn't use this as campaign hype. I'm not saying she cannot mention it b/c it does need dealt with, but she will use this to no end!! sad

Did ANYBODY give much thought to bridges before the bridge collapsed?
Do you think bridges were foremost on her mind the day before bridge collapse?
Bridge was States responsibility.
They dropped the ball.

Bridges did not become issue until that bridge came down.
Deteriorating infrastructure is a REAL concern.

Imagine what we could do with the 12 billion a month Bush is pissing away in IRAQ.

She may not have said roads and bridges but in the past she did not vote for tax cuts in the department of transportation that may have caused the problems. We have to watch the Republicans before they cut the infrastructure that keeps America strong.

This is third question I've answered like this and now I have a question for you. Do ANY of you actually do research before you make assumptions like this? It WAS on her agenda, she co-sponsored a bill regarding infrastructure. Here ya go, read the following and educate yourself:

Senators Voinovich, Carper and Clinton Introduce Infrastructure Improvement Bill

Bill to Create National Commission on Infrastructure

Washington, DC — Today, U.S. Senators George V. Voinovich (OH), Thomas Carper (DE) and Hillary R. Clinton (NY) introduced the National Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2006, legislation created to address the deteriorating conditions of our nation’s roads, bridges, drinking water systems, dams and other public works. If enacted, the bill will establish a National Commission on Infrastructure of the United States. The commission will be charged with aiding in the nation’s economic growth and ensuring the ability of the nation’s infrastructure to meet current and future demands.

Attention whores (right or wrong) seek attention the cheapest way possible.

She knows libs very well (that they love drama) and the energy it sucks out of everyone instead of waiting around for the real truth to be documented.

Hmmm... "It'll take 18 months before the investigation can be complete"

Nov. 2008 minus Aug. 2007 (is 15 months) meaning she can babble all she wants and not be held liable for fabricating crap out of crushed steel and crumbled concrete with a bunch of dead people still missing. It draws attention on herself.

Yep, just like Bush playing on the fears of the American citizens by using terrorism to get votes. The road goes both ways. I don't know about anybody else but I am happy to see at least one candidate talking about our infrastructure and rebuilding it instead of talking about rebuilding a country we destroyed or sending more money to the middle east.

The real question is "Why aren't roads and bridges part of the republican platform or in any plans to work on America's infrastructure?" Why DO we have levees breaking, bridges falling. Because repubs have different goals.

I agree with you. Remember when her husband was in office and she was going to head up this national health care issue? I wonder whatever happened to that. Not that I'm for it but she had her shackles up about this for so long and I think that was what Bill ran on really to get elected so where was the follow-through?

She's grasping at straws! She'll jump on any bandwagon she can get hold of at this point. I wouldn't vote for her if she went out and rebuilt every bridge in the country single handed.

another reason to raise taxes...a design flaw was found and that probably is the cause of the collapse but the truth never stopped a liberal before so why now.
