To them, anyone that is not of Muslim faith is an Infidel that has to be:
1) Converted to Islam.
2) Forced to pay tribute.
3) Killed.
THe South Koreans are just a barganing chip and AQ/Taliban are more than happy to behead them in order to put fear into the hearts of the South Korean people and to get them out of Afghanistan (despite the fact that the ROK Army has no forces in Afghanistan as part of ISAF and has only 1200 troops in Iraq as part of the MNF-Iraq).
Sadly, the South Korean missionaries, who came to help the childen of Afghanistan, have now become tools in the Taliban's war of attrition against the West (and the East).

Because they are crazy terrorist who don't care if people are trying to help them. They only care about religion. And if you're not their religion than they want to kill you or use you as a bargaining chip.
