The USA today coaches poll has us at #20

other polls vary from not ranked, to as high as 8.. but the coaches poll will be closer to how we'll start than any of the others.

we'll have a minimum of 9 wins and will have a shot at the western title again.. but nothing is a given this year.. LSU is very strong and Auburn.. well a team that has lost 5 games in the last 3 years should never be counted out.

Alabama will be much improved.. but still in 4th.. though a strong 4th

either Auburn or Arkansas could rise up and bit LSU in the A*s and take the western title.. but right now it looks like it is LSU's to lose.

We'll go to a high bowl game.. maybe a BCS bowl if we place either first or third in the SEC (if you remember from last year.. the team that loses the SEC champ game and gets 2nd.. which was us... doesn't go to a BCS game.. the loss drops them a little too much in the polls)

They have officially changed the name from Wild Cat to Wild Hog and have added an Option Package to the Wild Hog formation.

Time to go to the CPR training here at work.. cya later!

I have seen them ranked from 11 to 20 in different polls. I believe a 10 win season is very possible with a chance at 11 or 12 by seasons end. They have a 50-50 chance of winning the West and will beat LSU this year, but would lose if they made the SEC championship game. I see them in a major bowl, like the cotton or sugar bowl. Arkansas will win the bowl game this year.

can't win in the SEC being one dimensional.. McFadden's the man but the rest of the Offense I don't have much confidence in.. will throw some praise to Monk too.. I think they'll lose 3 or 4 games.. be competitive and end up in something about the level of the Cotton Bowl.. no SEC Championship game this year.. Auburn or LSU there.. play for third and hope Bama sucks lol.. if Arkansas manages 2nd in the West I'll consider that a solid year for them this year..

Arkansas is #20 in the AP preseason. Unfortunatley they have had a lot of off season drama to overcome. Between losing their QB, and WR, having Nutt in the press, and under pressure it causes a lot of turmoil. The good news is that McFadden is a beast and will carry the offense this year. Of course the bad is that the SEC defenses will stack the box against him, so the QB better get firm with his WR's.

They have a pretty easy schedule to start the season with:
Troy
@ Alabama (only real tough one)
Kentuky
North Texas
Chattanooga

So that is pretty easy, and gives time for the team to gel.

But at Tennessee and at LSU to end the season?..... i don't see them making the SEC championship again. They will make it to a bowl game, which one I have no idea, but they will go to one.

On a side note, how embarrasing is it that as a team in a powerhouse conference, Arkansas' out of conference schedule includes only one team with a winning record. Come on guys, scream at your AD to make a tougher schedule
Troy 8-5 in the Sun Belt last year (Not horrible)
North Texas 3-9 in Sun Belt (Come on)
Chattanooga 3-8 in 1-AA (A losing record in 1-AA, come on guys that is pathetic)
Florida International 0-12 in Sun Belt (The only reason people know this team exists is due to their fight with Miami last year)

I know the SEC is tough, talented and hits hard in conference, but gimme a break.

The are starting off 20th which I think is a little underrated. I predict they will go 9-3 but won't make it to the SEC Championship. The bowl is hard to predict but lets guess Cotton Bowl against Notre Dame at 8-4.

They came close last year, I say they will be in the SEC championship. ranked between 5 and 10. They will make a bowl but it is hard to predict which one.

If Mcfadden and Felix Jones can carry the gang then they are going to be ranked, yet BCS would be out of the question for particular this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. No way they wil get out of the SEC with under 2 losses. additionally for an SEC team, they have not recruited properly as of previous due and the shortcoming of Mustain and Williams to USC will teach to be a great loss this season.

They lost their QB and offensive coach, and everyone knows about Macfadden. My guess is 9-3 with a decent bowl game.
