The Lakers aren't getting Kevin Garnett (and never were) and they're not getting Jermaine O'Neal. They're not even getting Pau Gasol. The closest thing they'll get to him is Marc Gasol, Pau's brother, whom they drafted after them giving Kobe the help he's begged for by drafting someone called Jamacian Crazytown or something. It's amazing that Mitch Crapshoot keeps a job as GM of the Lakers. The Lakers aren't gonna make the playoffs this year, so maybe then they'll fire Crapshoot.

I bleed purple and gold... losing KG hurt only because it sounded like a great idea (it wasn't going to happen... ever, but still... it was nice to dream). JO coming to tinseltown would be great, but i'm iffy about JO... and he has had a bad run of injuries lately and we've had enough of that last year. My big problem was that really, the Lakers were playing great last year and then got struck by injuries to major players all towards the end of the year. I really feel like there's no reason we can't compete with a healthy team this season. This all really started with kobe going kooky and pointing and blaming everyone else, but himself... dude yer contract is massive... you want good players? take a pay cut or check out KG's career doin' it al by his lonesome in Minny. Plus, Mitch Nutcheck is awful. poor draft picks, terrible contracts (Cook, both Vlade's, Sasha V). Jerry Buss has lost all interest in the Lakers and it shows. So really... does JO actually want to be a Laker? He might be better off in Jersey.

I'm not necessarily a Lakers fan, but no I would not be surprised if they didn't get a deal done. Jermaine O'Neal is no KG, but they have been pretty hesitant to really make any kind of deal. Kobe already wants out and is probably tired of hearing rumors about things like this, because it will probably fall through and just frustrate Kobe more.

well i think he just wants to get the hell out of indiana. who would want to play for the pacers anyway? everything is out of control over there. but i dont think the lakers have enough trade pieces for indy. odom and bynum are nice but i think you would need more. like more fillers like luke walton or future picks.

Not really I mean cupcake has pulled stunts like these, I would not be surprised if Kobe does not show up for camp.
