If your tampon is painful, you may not just have it in far enough. Make sure the little plastic flaps at the top are not bent or broken, and use the smallest tampon possible for your flow. For instance, you wouldn't want to use super-jumbo tampons if you have a light flow, right? If you have trouble inserting the tampon, dab a little bit of lubricant on it, such as K-Y Jelly. Remember to use a new tampon for each attempt. You shouldn't be able to feel the tampon once it's inside of you. If you have any further questions, ask your gynecologist.

Thanks for asking!

Some women just wasn't meant forTampons. Here some things to think about. 1) Are you using the right size? 2) did you follow the instructions in the box? 3) How far for you is all the way in You should still see a inch of tube.

If it hurts like that then it is not in all the way. Take it out and grab a new one. Go lay on your bed and push the applicator in as far as you can while still holding it before you plunge it in. After a few times, you'll get the hang of doing this in the bathroom.

Has it always hurted or just this time. It shouldn't hurt if it's in correctly. You wouldn't even feel it. It probably isn't in correctly or far enough.

it is not in correctly if you can feel it.
try practicing with some of those slim fit ones. they are smaller and easier to put in the right way. it takes alot of practice. ive been using tampons for about 6 years and i still get them in crooked sometimes.

If it hurts, it ISN'T in correctly. Take it out and try again.

Make sure you put it in all the way. If it is in correctly, you don't even know it's there.

It can't be in all the way...that is the only time it should hurt is if it is not quite in completely...
(i've had that happen..thinking it's in all the way, but there is actually a bit more room for it...)

are you bleeding a lot? You should only wear it when your bleeding a lot or else it will be too dry and hurt you. Be careful when you take it out, It may hurt

It shouldn't hurt. Try a slimmer fit and make sure it's up far enough.
