my friends and i are having an argument about whether or not bats are cute--what do you think?

Funny you ask since I just had to remove one from my sons room. I put a plastic container over it and my husband looked at and said it was kind of cute. I looked at it and it's nasty teeth were showing, not cute. I watched a show about a woman who moved into a house only to discover the attic was infested with hundreds of bats, come to find out the crap is toxic and can cuase several health problems including glaucoma which she now suffers from. Apparently the poop particles were traveling through her vents making her extremely sick. So I have to say bats are definetly not cute!

I LOVE BATS!...Although the only specie of bat that is cute is the fruit bat. It has a dog/wolf like face. I think most people think of the "vampire" bat, and they are kinda ugly.

In my biology class our teacher brought in a guest that was a proficient in studying bats. He brought a few of the little guys in. I think they are ADORABLE! I actually got to pet and hold some. They are really gentle, shy, animals. Bats, get a really bad wrap. They are marvelously designed creatures and eat all the bugs out there that cause a LOT more problems (malaria) than a bat ever could. I think they are amazing and anyone who dislikes them needs to do some research!

I love bats. They are at times cute, and at times a tad scary depending on type..but goldang it...anything that helps keep the mosquito population down..can't be bad in my books! LOL!

I caught one in my house recently. Luckily, it flew around, then landed...and I grabbed a towel and then let it go.
Bats fill a need in nature to keep mosquito population in check.
Mosquitoes could be a big problem.
Are they cute?
No. Rather ugly, and useful for Halloween pranks.
