There is one reality. While you are awake you can perceive reality with the five senses and integrate this information with reason. In a dream you are not in another reality, because everything you dream is based off what you experience while awake. Dreams may seem to violate reason, similar to the effect of taking drugs. But this does not change the fact that you exist in reality. The state of your consciousness does not alter reality. It only distorts your perception of it. Your brain does not create reality. It only tells you things about it.

dreaming is the reality of your mind's state while sleeping and is something it cannot be controlled by your direct brain. awakeness ("reality") is the reality of your mind's state when your brain can control which ways your thoughts are flowing.
if you can't keep control when awake, then you are a kind of dreamer (most of say you're crazy), who lives in own reality but has nothing to do with the reality of others around you.
In general, it's all a reality and it's all a dream! we are all real and dreams in the realities of dreams or dreamers of realities.
Hope i helped you out.

Hi,
The dreamworld is as real to our sleeping self as the world around us is as real to our waking selves. Sometimes I know when I'm dreaming but when recalling a recent dream I had, it was like remembering memories in real time. I know in dreams I 'taste' 'touch' 'smell' just as I do in real life and I remember these as vivid. As to whether or not we are dreaming now ... no, whatever reality I am in, it's not the reality of my sleeping self. I'm definitely awake. Or in the reality of that state of awareness.

Yes they're probably both real. Allthough one is in the other. You must have a short memory cause as kids we used to have trouble getting out of bed, eating properly and acting cool. We had no doubt whatsover regarding the reality of this life. Maybe things have just gotten too easy.....

You are living in a dream world right now. You are unable to experience anything directly. You only experience through the use of memory. As you read this sentence you are not aware of the actual 'sensing' of the reflected light off of the object called 'screen' but only the translation of the object into your knowledge. You are continually recalling and recognizing everything around you one moment behind the actual event. You are only reliving the event through memory.
Is this not living in a dream world?

A kick in the balls.
I'm pretty sure I couldn't imagine that sort of pain, nor could my mind willingly recreate it in a dream state.

You don't.
If you question yourself what is real I would say the one that has no rules and boundaries, so a dream would be more appropriate.
