That is an irreconcilable sentence in terms of what the ideas mean. If by 'life' you mean the daily events that occur within my sensory perception then peace would be an impossibility as the events are in constant flux and randomly spontaneous. That is the opposite of peace or rest. If by 'life' you mean the unknowable thing that animates this body then I assume that it is outside of the realm of peace and war or rest and unrest and I have no way of knowing its condition as I have no way of know it at all. You appear to be talking about the cultural concept of peace similar to enlightenment or a state of 'absence of fear' or something else along that line. None of these ideas actually exist in any other way than thought.
So the answer is - no one knows if they do or not.

it took FOREVER, but i finally found the love of my life and was recently reunited with my best friend ever after 17 years, so i guess i can honestly say that i do have peace in my life, after many years of believing i never would. I guess sometimes it just takes time, but when you finally find it, it's worth it.

I wish!
Separated. Teenage daughter to bring up. Mother-in-law living in the house. In love with another woman - can't be with her either. Work's boring. Living in foreign country, want to go back to my own. Getting old, 46 now. Bike's in the garage - waiting for new part - expensive. Mortgage high. Bills outstanding. Dark rings around eyes. Always feeling tired.
But you can't complain, can you? There's always someone worse off than yourself.
